Resources for Artists, Writers, and Vidders

Here are the resources I've collected so far. Any more you can suggest are very welcome (especially places where you can anonymously host art or vids) and will be added to this post.

Artist resources
Also see the "writer resources" section below, as some of it may be useful to artists too.

Episode still photos & behind the scenes: (go to "episodes" section)

Anonymous art hosting:
Tumblr actually works for this - make a new post and place your art as normal, but DON'T post it! Instead use the settings drop-down on the post (the gear icon) to switch from "Rich text" to "HTML", and copy the URL for the image. Then close the post without saving. You now have a URL for your image that is not connected to your username.
imgur - instructions can be found in the comments here
tinypic - suggested here

Vidder resources

Anonymous vid hosting:
Probably the best way is to create a throwaway account using a junk email with Youtube or Vimeo, and then edit your AO3 post to the signed version of your vid on your usual vid hosting account after the anonymous period is over. The Festivids instructions for anonymous vid hosting also apply here, except of course ignore anything about hosting vids on the Festivids site itself.

One-shots, Peggy in other shows, and misc resources:
See this comment for links to video clips of Peggy's appearances in non-AC media and more
(Also contains useful links for writers, such as Peggy's obit, so it's listed in two places.)

Writer resources

Marvel Cinematic Universe wiki:

You can use this to look up info on characters, places, etc. from the show.

The Internet Movie Firearms Database has detailed firearms info for TV and movies. You can find out the names of guns used by each character in Agent Carter, with pictures! It also has pages for each individual firearm with more info on them.

Episode guides:

Resources on writing gay characters in 1930s/40s New York (also includes links to maps, photos, etc. that may be useful to artists!):

Neighbourhood profiles, maps, and misc info for 1940s NYC:

One-shots, Peggy in other shows, and misc resources:
See this comment for links to video clips of Peggy's appearances in non-AC media and more
(Also listed in the vid section due to the video clips, but I didn't want to *just* have it there, since there are a broad range of useful resources in this comment.)

Do you have any more? Please add them in the comments!

I've found that tinypic is really good for anon images, though it does have annoying ads.

[personal profile] thingswithwings has an amazing post of gay (mostly male) NY hangouts in the 1930's and 40's. It includes links to maps, articles and photo archives so it might help artists as well as writers.

[personal profile] lilly_c 2016-04-27 04:24 pm (UTC)(link) has got neighbourhood profiles, maps and some other misc info for 1940s NYC.

Some other resources:

The Marvel One-Shot Agent Carter short film that was basically a pilot for S1 of the show: (other short films also available there)

Ant-Man opening scene featuring older Stark and Peggy:

The full "Smithsonian interview" of Peggy in the fifties from TWS (Joe Russo is the interviewer):

SOMEONE took screenshots of Peggy's obit in AoS, thank you MYSTERIOUS BENEFACTOR :-)

Probably people know about these already, but I like and a lot

Some props from the MCU, which we see in the movies and show, were replicated as extras in special Phase box sets. WARNING, MCU props are often completely unreliable, like the Smithsonian exhibit which gets Bucky's birthday wrong (twice? I think). But they can be interesting.

Peggy's SHIELD file (Steve looks at this in TFA)

When the show was on, the costume designer had a weekly interview which is still available at

The show also had its own Tumblr and Instagram which weren't great but had some cute behind-the-scenes stuff sometimes:

Hope some of these may be helpful to other writers!

No prob! I love all the little glimpses we get of Peggy as she gets older (she looks hot in the Ant-Man clip, yowza).
