Deadline reminder

The deadline to turn in your gifts is rapidly approaching! Unless you've asked me for an extension, all gifts are due on Sunday, June 7. The official deadline is 11:59 p.m. Alaska time on June 7, but in actual practice I will be checking gifts and assigning pinch hitters (if needed) when I get up in the morning on June 8, so as long as it's June 7 anywhere in the world, you still have time!

For next year, can the submission deadline be added to the AO3 FAQ as well? That's how I got mixed up this year.

When you click on the FAQ button, it skips over "Schedule" (where the deadline is clear) and takes you to "How it works," a breakdown of the event that doesn't include the June 7 submission deadline. So when I was trying to double check the event dates, I clicked on FAQ and went straight to "How it works," without realizing there was any information above that, and saw June 14 as the only deadline listed, and so that was the date I was working towards, until realizing my error shortly before the assignment was due.

I know I should have remembered the week-in-advance rule from last year, but I didn't.

Anyhow, I hope you'll consider making the change, for the sake of those of us with Swiss cheese memories.

I think this is an excellent suggestion - and I hope you don't mind if I unscreen your comment (I needed to, so I could reply). I actually went in and did some edits to this year's FAQ, adding a "quick reference" section at the top with things that I find myself frequently looking for in exchanges (due dates and minimums). I know it's too late for this year, but when I set up a new exchange, I pick up the previous year's text and then change it to the new dates and any rule changes that are necessary, so this way it'll be updated for next year.
